Ya got no idea how many posts I’ve started and abandoned in the last week. There’s a ton to talk about but, as the title of this post indicates, no time for anything but show.
I’m understanding something now about the world we’re creating with this performance. This play isn’t going to make any sense, but I think that’s ok for what it is. As I was running in the dark through a cowfield last night, occasionally up to my knees (no exaggeration) in mud and getting shocked (twice!) on an electric fence, waving the head of a giant snake puppet, performing a scene we’ve spent one brief rehearsal half-creating while an angry cow bellowed her discontent at us, I thought: hey. This isn’t gonna be half-bad.
Love from Ashfield! I’ll post something substantial next week sometime. For now, I scramble.
