I’m off to Double Edge Theatre once more in Ashfield, Massachusetts, to enroll myself in the second half of their training intensive and then to stay on and help them make a show this summer. I’ll be posting here occasionally, if I manage to wrest myself away from things for a moment here or there.

This time, I’m also in the midst of moving. So today (yesterday) I packed up my house, tucked all my boxes and furniture away in a corner for my amazing and generous boyfriend to move to our new place in my absence, and left for the red-eye flight that took me to where I am now–the Minneapolis airport where I’m waiting for my connection to Hartford. It all feels a little surreal–my stuff will all be in boxes until I return, which won’t be until September (after the show closes on Aug 22, I’ll tool up to New York for a week to visit a few friends, then fly straight to Reno to hop into Burning Man, then finally home to a place I haven’t lived yet.)

I’m a little in the land of the off-kilter. As I made my way down the aisle of my first plane this evening, everyone sitting in their seats looked like a caricature–glasses too big, hair too frizzy, waiting eyes too vacant. I felt like I was walking into somebody’s comic book. I sat down in my seat and realized that I had forgotten to do everything I hadn’t written down, which is a fair number of unlisted items. Nothing to be done about them now. Away I go!

DURING THE INTENSIVE, which means just until June 24, this is my contact info.

Phone (my cell phone does not work there. This phone is shared amongst all the guests.): 413.628.4645

Address: 551 Main St., Ashfield, MA, 01330

After June 24, I’ll move into the Double Edge center itself, and I don’t have that address/phone number yet. Stay tuned.

Love and excitement and sleepiness,
Alissa
