Here we go!

Hello! I've just finished packing and showering and taking out the trash and writing down phone numbers and doing all the things that you need to do before you leave the house for three and a half weeks. I intend to update this blog whenever I find myself with internet access on the road in Brazil. We'll see...this may be the only post on the site until I return, or I may get a chance to jot something down daily.

Yay4Blogs! Have a barrel of fun and remember to drink frilly drinks on the beach for me!
On the topic of drinks: airlines charge too much, but remember: their effects are hampered by the act of flight!
But at least on most international flights drinks are free. Plus with the pressure being lower in the cabin, you usually tend to feel drunker with less liquor. Enjoy yourself!!
ah yes - airline drinking. hor fun! The goal is to be so smashed that getting off the plane and to the hotel is a trick!
\ha! Getting out of the airport and to a bed was quite tricky enough, even without the boozing...
